Meghan
Meghan is going on her second year of volunteering at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, after working 2 years as a health center assistant at PP Rocky Mountains.
About volunteering for Planned Parenthood, Meghan says:
I believe that freedom of choice is a human right, especially in regards to choices about our own bodies, health and lives. I believe that every woman should be given the ability to make decisions by being informed of all her choices, and receive respect and support for her decisions. I volunteer at Planned Parenthood because I know they uphold these values in the clinics when providing outstanding care, and when fighting for women's reproductive rights in Washington.
For others looking for volunteer opportunities at PP, I would say right now is an extremely important time to become involved. It is becoming more apparent that Roe is in visible danger of being overturned, severely restricting women's reproductive and human rights. I would also remind you of the extremely high quality, affordable, routine health care and contraceptive services PP provides to thousands of women; they need the help of volunteers to continue offering this important care. So, if you are looking to make a difference in the lives of women, and to make your voice heard, there's no better way than to align yourself with the organization that is synonymous with women's health and women's rights!
Thanks to Meghan and volunteers like her who help us protect women’s health!
